Footpaths in BATCOMBE
The Somerset Public Rights of Way Network (which includes footpaths, bridleways and other rights of way) is the responsibility of the Somerset Council. Information, resources and how to report an issue on the network can be found here:
www.somerset.gov.uk/roads-travel-and-parking/public-rights-of-way/
Any dispute and/or enforcement is the responsibility of Somerset Council Rights of Way Officer, Daniel Gordon.
Landowners have the responsibility to maintain access to and along Rights of Way, including the clearance of obstructions and overhanging vegetation, and the maintenance of gates and stiles to ensure they are in a safe and useable condition.
The Parish Council's Parish Path Liaison Officer (PPLO), Tom Price, is the conduit between the Parish Council, landowners, parishioners and Somerset Council. If you need assistance from the Parish Council regarding a right of way please contact Tom on 07498 154680 or email: footpaths@batcombe-parish-council-somerset.org.uk
